Sexual Health Fife – Dunfermline is an NHS sexual health clinic in Dunfermline, run by NHS Fife. It provides free, confidential sexual health services for people living in or around Dunfermline and the wider Fife area.
The clinic offers testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), contraception (including implants and coils; coils are not available for young people under 25), emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, blood-borne virus testing (including HIV, hepatitis B and C, and syphilis), PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) for HIV prevention, PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) after possible HIV exposure, and free condoms. Young people under 25 can also access a dedicated Young People Service with booked appointments for STI testing, contraception (excluding coils), and other sexual health support.
All sexual health services in Fife are free, including prescriptions if needed. Appointments are made by calling the Sexual Health appointment line, and there are no general walk-in clinics for most patients. The service is based at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline (Phase 2, Level 1, Whitefield Road, Dunfermline, KY12 0SU).
