The Orange Rooms is Southampton’s legendary independent cocktail bar and venue, and we are proud to have been serving the city since 2001. As the owners, we have built the Orange Rooms around a simple idea: a fun, stylish and welcoming space where great cocktails, delicious food, retro-inspired decor and a relaxed atmosphere come together to create one of the South’s most popular nightlife destinations.
Located at 1–2 Vernon Walk, tucked away between Bedford Place and London Road in the heart of Southampton’s nightlife area, we are a short walk from the city centre, Oxford Street, West Quay Watermark and the main train station. Our hidden location gives us a special feel, like a secret party spot that locals and visitors alike love to discover.

We also serve delicious food, perfect for sharing before drinks, during a meal or as snacks while enjoying the evening. Our menu is designed to complement our drinks, offering something tasty for everyone, whether guests are coming for a quick bite or a full meal.
The Orange Rooms is known for our bottomless brunches, which have become a favourite for groups, celebrations and weekend gatherings. These events combine great food, unlimited drinks and a lively atmosphere, making them a popular choice for birthdays, pre-party drinks and special occasions.
Four unique spaces for every occasion
The Orange Rooms is split over four unique spaces, all coming together to create one big party. Each area has its own character and vibe, giving guests different ways to enjoy the venue.
The Tiki Bar is a private room with a tropical theme, perfect for smaller groups and private parties. With a capacity of 35 seated or 20 standing, it offers an intimate setting with a minimum spend that makes it ideal for birthdays, engagement parties, leaving do’s and other celebrations.
The other spaces within the venue cater for different moods and occasions, from relaxed lounge areas for early evening drinks to larger party zones where the music gets louder and the energy builds through the night. All rooms and areas are available for private hire seven days a week, making the Orange Rooms a flexible choice for any event.
Opening hours and private hire
We are open seven days a week. Our hours are:
- Tuesday to Thursday: 4pm to 3am
- Friday and Saturday: 2pm to 3am
- Sunday: 2pm to midnight
- Monday: 12pm to midnight (private hire only)
These times may vary on event nights, so guests are welcome to check ahead for the latest information.
Private hire is available throughout the week for birthdays, weddings, engagement parties, leaving parties, corporate functions and just for the sake of it. With a total standing capacity of around 60 and multiple rooms to choose from, the Orange Rooms is a versatile venue for groups of all sizes.

The Orange Rooms has retro-inspired decor and a music policy that reflects our love of classic sounds and modern party energy. We host a variety of fun, unique themed nights and events, with a range of music styles that keep the venue fresh and exciting.

Well we had a lovely evening, but apparently a couple from our group spilled their drinks. That is life as a nightclub. Discusting that we couldn't get a drink. Students are worse than that. We've traveled from Cornwall to enjoy a weekend.

Came along for a bottomless to celebrate my brother’s birthday and the girls delivered! Really great atmosphere and Alice did an amazing job hosting us! She was so lovely and bubbly! Frankie and Emily were also great and helped keeps the drinks flowing too! Overall the best bottomless I’ve been to yet and we definitely got our moneys worth!! Thank you for having us :)
