Based in Norwich, we are a self-help and social group specifically for transgender individuals and their partners. We pride ourselves on being a resilient and confidential sanctuary that has provided a “safe harbor” for the trans community for over 35 years, offering a welcoming space for people at any stage of their journey.

A Safe Space to Be Yourself

Our group is designed to provide a secure environment where you can explore your gender identity away from the gaze of the general public. We understand that for many, the opportunity to present as their authentic self in a safe, non-judgmental setting is vital for well-being. Whether you are visiting for the first time in “stealth” or have been living authentically for years, Oasis offers:

• Changing Facilities: We provide private spaces at our meetings so you can arrive in comfort and change into the clothing that makes you feel like you.
• Peer Support: Our members have a wealth of lived experience navigating transition, healthcare, and social coming-out; we are here to listen and share.
• Partner Support: We recognise that transition affects the whole family, which is why we warmly welcome partners to join, share their perspectives, and find their own community of support.

Socialising with Confidence

At Oasis Norfolk, we believe that community is the best antidote to isolation. We hold regular monthly meetings in a private, central Norwich location that remains confidential to protect our members’ privacy. Beyond our formal meetings, we organise “Oasis Outings”—trips to local restaurants, theatres, and inclusive venues where we can enjoy the best of Norfolk as a visible and proud group. We are a frequent and friendly presence at Norwich Pride, proving that there is a vibrant, supportive life waiting for you beyond the binary.
