We are a vibrant, volunteer-led social group designed to bring the entire LGBTQIA+ community together in a relaxed, non-pressured environment. We pride ourselves on being the “everything” group—a sanctuary that bridges the gap between the rural reaches of Norfolk and the bustling streets of Norwich, ensuring no one in our community has to feel isolated.

Our group is designed around the idea that community happens best when we are doing things we love. We move beyond the “one-size-fits-all” approach by offering a massive variety of events that cater to every personality and pace. Whether you are an introvert looking for a quiet book club discussion, an adventurer ready for a coastal hike, or a social butterfly looking for dinner parties and theatre outings, we provide the platform to find your people.

At Norfolk LGBT+ MeetUp, we believe that “coming out” into the social scene should be an easy, joyful experience. We are particularly proud of our “Newbie-friendly” ethos; we know that walking into a room of strangers can be daunting, so we often have designated hosts to welcome you and make introductions. From our regular coffee meet-ups at The Forum to our large-scale takeovers of local inclusive venues, we are dedicated to making Norfolk a place where every queer person has a busy social calendar and a supportive network of friends.
