Bi Pride UK

Bi Pride UK is a registered charity dedicated to creating a world where people who experience attraction beyond gender can be visible, proud, and celebrated. Their mission is to challenge bi-erasure and ensure that the “Bi+” community—which includes those who identify as bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, fluid, or use no label at all—is recognized as a significant and vibrant part of the wider LGBTQ+ movement.

The organisation is for anyone attracted to more than one gender, regardless of how they choose to label themselves. They recognise that while Bi+ people make up a large portion of the LGBTQ+ community (often over 50% according to census data), they frequently face unique challenges, such as feeling “not queer enough” for Pride spaces or “not straight enough” for others.

Key Services and Initiatives

• Annual Bi Pride Event: They host the UK’s flagship Bi Pride, which is the largest single-day event in the world dedicated specifically to the Bi+ community. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, 29th August 2026, at Kings Place, London, featuring a main stage for performers and an “I Am Proud” stage for panels and discussions.
• Outreach & Consultancy: Bi Pride UK works with other Pride organisers and LGBTQ+ organisations across the country to provide training and consultancy on how to make their events more bi-inclusive and welcoming.
• Virtual Community & “Unicorn”: They maintain a strong digital presence to combat isolation, including their spin-off digital magazine, Unicorn, which features articles, interviews, and art exploring intersectional bi identities.
• Education & Advocacy: The charity focuses on raising awareness of the specific mental health and social issues faced by the Bi+ community, such as high rates of bi-phobia and invisibility.
