NAZ

NAZ (formerly the Naz Project London) is a charity dedicated to the sexual health and mental wellbeing of Black, Brown, and Global Majority communities. For over 30 years, they have worked to reduce health inequalities and provide culturally sensitive support to people who may feel overlooked by mainstream services.

The organisation is specifically for LGBTQ+ individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds, including those of South Asian, Middle Eastern, African, and Caribbean heritage. They understand that navigating your identity can be complex when balanced with family expectations, faith, or experiences of racism. Their team provides a space where your whole self is respected and understood.

Their services include one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy delivered by therapists who understand your cultural background. They also run several peer support groups, such as “Dost” for South Asian gay and bi men and “Kali Kiss” for South Asian queer women. These groups offer a safe way to build friendships and find community in a relaxed, non-judgmental setting.

In addition to emotional support, NAZ provides sexual health services, including HIV and STI testing, and specialist help for people living with HIV. Whether you need a place to talk, practical health advice, or a community that shares your heritage, NAZ is there to help you thrive.
